Recent Development
November 7, 2006
Carmen Duran from Tijuana, Mexico, featured in Maquilapolis will travel to Calgary for the Marda Loop Justice Film Festival. Duran will introduce the film and be available for the post film conversation. Carmen who works in a maquiladora (factory) and reaches beyond her daily struggle to survive and organizes for change. Carmen Duran will also participate in the Panel Discussion on Saturday Evening. She used a video camera to document her story and share her hopes for the future.
